What did we do today?
In todays lesson my group and I were rehearsing our performance and running our lines together.
We made great progress today, and have cleaned up all areas in our performance that needed to be, and it is much more structured and flows more naturally, especially the ending scene.
Mine and Yunasa's end scene has improved vastly and we are both happy with it, we decided to change the ending dialogue as it we feel it makes the scene more realistic and flows better. Instead of me saying "meet us back here in an hour" Yunasa's character adds some action into the scene and mimes throwing a bottle into a building window, this adds action and imagination to the end scene and ends with a "bang". We are going to use sound effects after Yunasa throws the bottle to add affect and excitement, we are going to use sirens and as soon as we here the sirens we begin chanting 'WE NEED TO MAKE A CHANGE' and fade into our freeze-frame with Greta, and Lucy ends the piece with her ending monologue.
I am really happy with our performance, I feel we all have strong characters and have worked really well together and individually on developing our characters and dialogue.
Today we also finalised our sound effects and wrote them down in order, we are not using too many sound effects but the ones we are using are very effective and set the mood for our scenes. We have all worked as a team and shared our ideas on how we could make the performance better and we are all pleased with it. I don't feel that we have anymore to alter or clean up now, we just need to keep rehearsing it until the show!
