The discussion we had with Siou was about acting techniques we have been taught and are using in our performances, examples of these techniques are
- Freeze-frame
- Slow motion
- Relationship with audience
- Building a character
- Tableaux
- Vocal techniques
We also discussed what we can improve on as a group which has helped as the class generally said similar improvements to work on, so we all know we are feeling the same things as eachother.
2. How does this affect your group work on your scenes?
My group and I use a lot of the techniques we have learned in class which gives our scenes more strengths and a variation of acting which is interesting to watch as an audience and more interesting to perform. In our scenes we use;
- Mime
- Freeze-frame
- Tableaux
- Cross cutting
- Monologues
- Voice projection
- Movement in Canon
3. What have we improved on today?
Today my group and I have improved a lot on the ending scene to our performance, which is Me and Unis meeting in the street at night time. We have changed the dialogue slightly so it flows better and have added some movement so the scene seems more realistic and natural. We have created a freeze frame at the end with Myself, Unis and Greta portraying the protests and riots.
We also have discussed our costumes and what lighting/sound effects we will be using.
Our performance is on the whole finished, we just need to make sure we all know all our lines and it all flows naturally, as our performance is very polictial we want to reflect this in a very realistic way to the audience.
